Saturday trip to Flushing Meadows Park

The sun is shining, the temperatures are above 50, and my monthly MetroCard is burning a hole in my pocket. That means a trip to visit the sites of the 1939/40 and 1964-65 World’s Fair at Flushing Meadows Park! The metal might be a little dilapidated, but the feeling of wonder and grandeur is still alive in the Unisphere, the Tent of Tomorrow, and the Observatory Towers.

World’s Faaaaaaairs!

Do you live in Missouri? Visiting before August 19? The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is hosting an amazing exhibit about Worlds Fairs! I have not seen their fantastic collection in person, but Worlds Fairs! My obsession with them knows no bounds.

Exhibition themes include Style, Historicism, Cross-Culturalism, Nationalism, and Technology, as well as a myriad of lectures and art workshops!
